Book Review Haiku

Cut to the chase.

Too busy for long reviews.

Lorrie loves haiku!

What are book reviews doing in the Writing Buffet?  Books are some of the best writing teachers I know. Good books show us great writing. If you read a lot, awesome writing seeps into your soul. And then there is also the addictive fun part of reading for pure joy.

I know we're all busy so my reviews are short and sweet.  Even though I'm in awe of writers, I'm not afraid to give you an honest opinion.

And by the way, ask your students to write their own Book Review Haikus.  It's a great way to learn summary skills.  And counting.  Don't forget the counting.
