What is Family of Writers?

Since 1997, I've been teaching evening Family of Writers classes in school cafeterias for students and their parents. 2024 is the 34th season!
Family of Writers is based on the core principles of Writing Workshop, and it’s the best thing I've ever done as a teacher. It's all around writing joy, culminating in an anthology publication party.
If you dream of confident kids who love writing, there is nothing more powerful than families huddled close, putting pen to paper, and sharing stories.
Family of Writers is how we can all become better writers and grow community across the entire Palos Verdes Peninsula.
