when eight women gather
We celebrate all that is good about Writing
We have fun.
We share stories.
We discover connections.
We don’t expect writing experience.
We eat. We drink. We are obviously merry.
This is the Afteroon for you
If you’re someone who would love to write more, but can’t find the time.
If you need an encouraging nudge to get words on the page.
If you want the satisfaction of completing a beautiful piece of writing in one afternoon.
If you know that connecting with amazing women is an essential element of happiness and longevity!
who? what? when? where? how much?

about lorrie and sheri
Lorrie and Sheri met teaching middle school in 1989 and have been besties since then. Lorrie taught language arts and Sheri taught science (both with M.Eds). Their friendship was solidified over years of carpooling and occasionally getting stranded on the freeway due to El Nino flooding! After spending hours in the car together, they discovered a mutual passion for teaching and adventure which included kayaking in Alaska and rafting down the Grand Canyon. Over the years, Lorrie continued teaching writing and Sheri became a registered dietician, master gardener, and jewelry maker. Now, Lorrie and Sheri are thrilled to combine their teaching talents and artistic passions as they team up to bring you mini writing and art retreats. Nourishing you with creativity and community is their latest adventure!
