You want the satisfaction of completing a beautiful piece of writing in one afternoon.
You know that connecting with amazing women in a creative space is good for the soul!

WHO:
Any women who can attend an inperson writing afternoon in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Limited to 8 participants.
WHAT:
Three afternoons for women who want to enjoy writing and sharing while gathered around a cozy dining room table.
You can attend one, two, or all three Ladies’ Table afternoons. Different writing invitations are offered at each meeting, but all three gatherings are connected by the thread of this question:
What makes me feel alive?
We want to assure you that you won’t feel behind or left out if you can only join us for one class. Alternatively, if you can join us for all three, that’s awesome because it gives us time to connect more deeply.
WHEN:
For 2026, the dates are June 13, July 25, and August 22. Each Ladies’ Table meeting is from 3:30-5PM.
WHERE:
Lorrie Tom’s cozy dining room table (address supplied upon registration, but near Palos Verdes Peninsula High School).
SUPPLIES:
None required. We’ll provide everything you need, but you might want to bring a favorite pen and/or personal journal/pad of paper for writing.
TREATS TO EAT:
We’ll supply light snacks, fizzy water, and ice tea.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Whatever you like. Lorrie and Stacy will be comfy and casual.
COST:
Sign up for one, two, or all three.
Pick the date or dates that work for you. If you can only make one class, it doesn’t have to be the first class—it can be any of the three offered.
If you sign up for one or two individual meetings (on any of the three dates), it’s $25 per person, per meeting.
If you sign up for ALL three meetings, it’s $20 per person, per meeting.

about lorrie and Stacy
Lorrie and Stacy met as teachers at a staff development workshop for Palos Verdes Peninsula School District more than twenty years ago. Within moments, both knew they were kindred reading, writing, and teaching spirits who would become great friends. Lorrie recently retired from teaching Family of Writers, which was offered to all 3rd-5th grade students and their parents. Stacy continues to teach 4th and 5th grade at Cornerstone Elementary School.
For several years, Lorrie and Stacy taught a children’s summer program at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center called Writing by the Sea. They loved teaching together and The Ladies’ Table is an opportunity for them to write together once again. For decades, Lorrie and Stacy have written alongside kids, but now it’s time to sit at The Ladies’ Table with amazing women.
Writing is like breathing for Lorrie and Stacy and they can’t wait to inspire YOU to get words on the page too.
